This is a special, limited supply of an unusual essential oil.

huja suchuenensis, an evergreen coniferous tree in the cypress family Cuppressaceae. It was long thought to be an extinct species of Oriental Thuja but was recently rediscovered growing in a part of Sichuan Province, Chengkou County, on the southern slope of the Dabashan Mountains. Here it grows on steep slopes and ridges of a limestone formation at altitudes between 1000 and 1500 meters and estimated to include trees 500 to 600 years old. It can often be found growing horizontally out of the rocky cliff faces. In Chinese mythology and literature, it is said to save lives by catching people who fall or jump from the precipice.

Unlike other Thuja essential oils (mostly steam distilled from the leaves of a North American Arborvitae, Thuja occidentals) This unique oil is CO2 extracted from the wood of the twigs and branches of Sichuan Arborvitæ. Its color is deep golden, consistency is syrupy and its aroma is strong, fresh evergreen, woody, and pungent. Its effect is calming, easing body and mind, warming, cleansing and healing.

As aromatherapy, Ya Bai is analgesic, anti-anxiety, antibacterial, antidepressant, antifungal, antiseptic, astringent, anti-rheumatic, antiviral, circulatory stimulant, diuretic, emmenagogue, mucalytic, expectorant. Applied topically, it may be used to relieve pain of the sinews, bones and joints, as well as to address cystitis, warts, moles, skin tags, and other skin eruptions, abnormal cellular growths, some forms of skin cancers, and polyps. It breaks up mucus and phlegm. Diffused into the air it benefits respiration, coughs and congestion. It is a powerful anti-fungal (especially against candida albicans), disinfectant and insect repellant.*
