Contraindications Contraindicated for those with Yin Deficiency with dry mouth and throat and a red tongue with no coat. Use with caution for those with gastrointestinal weakness. Contraindicated for those with marked ascites. Contraindicated for those with frequent diarrhea. Contraindicated for those with facial flushing with fever. Contraindicated during pregnancy.

Description

KPC Herbs offers two very similar formulas: Jin Gui Shen Qi Wan and Ba Wei Di Huang Wan. The difference between the formulas is that the Ba Wei Di Huang Wan contains shu di huang, while Jin Gui She Qi Wan substitutes shu di huang with the cooler sheng di huang. Also, Ba Wei Di Huang Wan contains the warmer herb, rou gui, than gui zhi which is what is used in the Jin Gui Shen Qi Wan.
