Description |
"It [di bei chong] is mainly used in the treatment of disorders involving gynecological blood stasis, such as amenorrhea or mobile and fixed abdominal masses, and to assist in the healing of sinews and bones after injury due to trauma. The Divine Husbandman's Classic of the Materia Medica say that it treats "blood accumulated into mobile and fixed abdominal masses, as it breaks up areas of hardness and drives blood downward to unblock amenorrhea." The Grand Materia Medica states that "It promotes movement in postpartum blood accumulations, and stagnant blood due to breaks and injuries." - Bensky: Chinese Herbal Medicine Materia Medica, 3rd ed. "It is a strong and indispensable herb for breaking up masses due to blood stagnation." Chen: Chinese Medical Herbology and Pharmacology
