Description

This is an important formula in contemporary China for chronic itching skin disorders due to deficiency of blood. In contrast to the principal formula (Xiao feng san), it focuses more strongly on nourishing blood deficiency and wind that arises in the context of deficiency. Xiao feng san, on the other hand, focuses on dispelling wind-damp-heat toxins from the blood vessels.
