Contraindications A thin, floating, or deficient pulse accompanied by fever, sweating, and an aversion to wind which indicates yin fire due to Spleen and Stomach deficiency; a submerged pulse that is thin and weak, reflecting yang deficiency with false heat; the absence of thirst; absence of sweating.
Chinese Symptomology High fever with profuse sweting and an aversion to heat, a red face, severe thrist and irritabiity. May include headache, toothache, or bleeding of the gums and nose. There may be heavy, labored breathing, and in severe cases, delirious speech.
Actions Clears severe heat from the interior and generates body fluids.
