| Description | Fu Zi (Aconiti Radix Lateralis Praeparata) is the chief herb in this formula and serves to restore kidney yang and enable the kidneys to perform their function of transforming water. Bai Zhu (Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma) and Fu Ling (Poria), a common Dui Yao, serve to fortify the spleen and drain dampness. Sheng Jiang (Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens) warms and dispels pathogenic water. Bai Shao (Paeoniae Radix Alba) counterbalances the hot and dry herbs in the formula and protects the yin.
