Just in time for summer we are launching our brand new Emily Unscented Hot Skin Soother. Think sweat rash, heat rashes, skin issues in hot damp places like skin folds, armpits, groin, and elbow and knee creases. If your skin gets red, hot and angry we hope to soothe it.

Like the rest of our products, this balm is simple and made of just a few powerful, natural ingredients. As the label at the top of the jar says, “We think of it as alchemy with herbs.”

No scent is added or needed because the product is simple and clean and you can smell a very light hint of the pounds and pounds of herbs we use to make it.

Put all that together and you have a balm designed to soothe and beautify skin that is hot, red or angry. We can't and won't make any medical claims, but we hope you'll try it out on things like sunburn, sore hot muscles (for massage), sweat rashes, heat rashes and the like.

What's in it? Six simple ingredients: • Organic Sunflower Oil: chock full of Vitamin E, it soothes dry skin • Beeswax: a natural barrier that is both protective and antiseptic • Frankincense and Red Peony: This pair of herbs has been traditionally used to promote circulation and is said to "generate flesh" in Chinese herbology. The pair is also slightly analgesic so they may diminish discomfort of irritated skin. Peony also demonstrates an inhibitory action against some bacteria.  • Dictamnus Root Bark and Phellodendron Bark: These two herbs are categorized as bitter and cold and are used traditionally for extreme heat signs, 'damp-heat'. They are often used for sores, rashes, eczema and demonstrate antifungal and antimicrobial effects.
