Description

Within this formula, Huo Ma Ren, Tao Ren (Semen Persicae), and Xing Ren (Semen Armeniacae) moisten the intestions and free the flow of the stools. Dang Gui (Radix Angelicae Sinensis) nourishes the blood, moistens the intestines, and frees the flow of the stools. Sheng Di (uncooked Radix Rehmanniae) enriches yin and nourishes the blood, while Zhi Ke (Fructus Aurantii) moves the qi. This formula is from Shen Jin-ao Qing dynasty Shen Shi Zun Sheng Shu (Master Shens Book Venerating Life) published in 1773 CE.
