Description Within this formula: Huai Hua clears heat and eliminates dampness from the intestines as well as cools the blood and stops bleeding. Ce Bai Ye also cools the blood and stops bleeding. In addition, it dries dampness without damaging yin. Jing Jie disperses wind and enters the blood aspect to stop bleeding. Zhi Qiao (Ke) rectifies the qi. Entering the blood aspect, it moves the qi within the blood. Its qi is downbearing, while Jing Jies is upbearing. Therefore, together, these two medicinals free the flow of the qi mechanism, thus relieving the depression that may be causing the heat.
