Description | This formula, a variation of Liu Wei Di Huang Wan, was modified to address chronic ear ringing associated with weakened Kidney Qi. Results are expected in cases of gradual ringing brought about by Kidney weakness, particularly in the aged. Bupleurum Chai Hu helps to bring the formula towards the ear, while Magnetite Ci Shi descends the rising Yang energy back down to the Kidneys; this reduces ear ringing. It is not particularly helpful for ear ringing due to trauma or nerve damage from loud noises. (Fratkin, Chinese Herbal Patent Medicines) | |
