| Description | Huang Lian Su Tablets use a pharmaceutical extraction of Coptis (Huang Lian), producing berberine hydrochloride. As a pharmaceutical extraction, it is significantly stronger and more concentrated than herbal Coptis (Huang Lian). It is commonly prescribed in China for acute diarrhea and bacterial dysentery, and may be used for a variety of intestinal pathogens including the bacteria Proteus, Citrobacter, E. Coli, the fungus Candida Albicans, and intestinal protozoa including giardia. Coptis (Huang Lian) is effective for various strept and staph infections causing tooth abscess, canker sores, stept throat, sinus infection, and skin boil. This product may be combined with other formulas to reinforce the anti-bacterial effect. The pills can be crushed into powder and mixed with water or salve to treat infected wounds topically.
