Description | "This formula was originally developed by Dr. Zhang Zhong Jing in the famous herbal text Jin qui yao lue/Essentials from the Golden Cabinet. It was designed for xu lao/Vacuity taxation, with loss of blood or seminal emission with cold genitals. It has been expanded in its use over time to include treatment of all types of Yin or Yang deficiency with disturbances of shen and leaking of vitality through sweat, diarrhea, seminal loss, etc. The combination of Gui Zhi (Chinese cinnamon) and Bai Shao (White peony) regulates the wei qi/defense qi and ying qi/construction qi and restores normal communication between the heart and kidney, yin and yang.
