Description | Within this formula, Huang Qi (Radix Astragali) is the sovereign. It boosts the qi. Ren Shen (Radix Ginseng), Bai Zhu (Rhizoma Atractylodis Macrocephalae), and mixfried Gan Cao (Radix Glycyrrhizae) fortify the spleen and boost the qi. They are the ministers. Together, they are able to supplement the center and boost the qi. Chen Pi (Pericarpium Citri Reticulatae) is added to rectify the qi, while Dang Gui (Radix Angelicae Sinensis) is added to supplement the blood. These two are the assistant medicinals. Chai Hu (Radix Bupleuri) and Sheng Ma (Rhizoma Cimicifugae) upbear and lift downfallen clear yang. Thus they are the messengers within this qi supplementing formula | |
