This formula has been very useful for a client with bowel incontinence due to damage during childbirth, at a surprisingly low dose. Most mfr's versions seem to do the job. As a side note, Zhi Qiao is mentioned for additional effect on prolapse. It turns out that m-synephrine stimulates receptors in the anococcygeus muscle (rat study) (PMID 2833972), a possible reason. But the formula works without this addition.
