CAUTION	Direct moxa, indirect moxa, and needle moxa should always be administered and used under the direction or supervision of a qualified practitioner. Do not leave patient unattended during any moxa use. Do not use moxa on the face, soft skin, or other sensitive body areas. Do not use moxa on infants or young children. Do not use moxa on patients who are not able to detect the sensations of heat or pain (i.e. elderly, patients with nerve damage, etc). When using needle moxa, a protective shield, (i.e. aluminum foil), must be placed under and around the needle to protect the skin from loose or falling moxa ash. When using moxa rolls, the burned ash must be frequently removed by gently tapping the side of the roll against a suitable container. For patient safety, do not use moxa rolls or any moxa product if damaged or cracked. Always ignite stick-on moxa first and then apply to the point. If heat becomes uncomfortable, remove or move moxa to another location. If used incorrectly, redness or a small heat blister may appear after application.

Description	This bamboo moxa box is ideal for easy and reliable moxibustion therapy. Boxes are available with one moxa hole (box measures 3 ¼” x 3 5/8” at its base) or two moxa holes (box measures 3 ¾” x 5 ½ “ at its base). They are specifically designed for using moxa sticks that have a minimum diameter of 0.6". You simply slide each stick into the top, metal-framed hole(s) where metal clamps hold it securely. The top cover itself is held gently in place by several small magnets, and its entire underside has a thin metallic veneer to help radiate heat toward the bottom opening of the box. Ventilation windows on opposite sides help ensure proper burning of the moxa, and a fine metal screen at the bottom ensures that no ash drops onto a patient’s skin. There is even a small nylon cord that attaches to hooks on opposite sides of the box, allowing you to easily and safely position the box over the areas requiring treatment.
