Description | For spasmodic epigastric pain, nausea and vomiting or spitting up of sour liquids, a feeling of fullness and distention in the chest and abdomen, and sharp pains. The pains occur when the stomach is empty. Warms and strengthens the middle burner, regulates the qi, and invigorates the blood. Cold from deficiency of the Spleen and Stomach with qi stagnation and blood stasis. The patient is commonly thin, has poor general muscle tone, a flabby abdomen, and experiences palpitations that feel as if they are located in the periumbilical area.
